Randall M. Hancock, CPA and Martha S. Echols, CPA are partners in the firm of Hancock & Echols, PC. We have a combined 40 years of experience in public accounting. Our mission is to bear the burden of the financial, accounting and tax needs of our clients. In order to accomplish this mission, we strive to create an environment of free-flowing communication so that we can be trusted and involved financial advisors to our clients.

One of the unique aspects about our firm is our non-stuffy, down-to-earth approach. When you come to our office, you are likely to be greeted by one of our four legged "best friends". Being avid dog lovers, our pampered pals provide a lighthearted twist to a very serious subject - your money and taxes! Throughout our first book, Best Dog-Gone Tax Advice, our three dogs present important tax tips. We have two toy fox terriers, Tater (the tax dog) and Zack and a dachshund, Lucy. Bringing your pets to work may seem odd to some people, but don't let our laid back office fool you. We pride ourselves in using the latest technology and resources to practice our profession. We continually educate ourselves and our staff, evaluate our operations, and investigate new opportunities to better serve our clients.

Our firm provides all income tax preparation services for individuals and businesses in order for them to stay in compliance with Uncle Sam. We offer services that are much more hands on than the annual visit to your accountant for your tax return preparation.

Below is an abbreviated list of additional individual services especially focused on the elderly:

  • Personal bookkeeping including bill payment and records management
  • Managing income receipts and deposits
  • Identifying retirement needs including managing retirement account distributions
  • Working with your investment advisors to monitor investment portfolios
  • Assistance in determining long-term financial needs and goals
  • Preparing an inventory of personal assets and investments

With regards to business services, our Financial N-Sight program uses current accounting information to calculate key figures, detect important trends and present them graphically in an easy to understand form. We meet monthly with the business owner and provide advisory support to help their planning become an actuality. Martha is also a Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor who offers classes and one-on-one assistance.
